How to get here

Yes we are a little bit out of the way, but we’d like to think that’s all part of our appeal and well worth the effort getting here. INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS will mainly land at Auckland Airport. From here Air New Zealand flies to Nelson. At Nelson Airport you may like to hire a car and drive to Westhaven - a three hour journey. Another option is to fly in by a 30 minute helicopter flight. Flying from Auckland to Wellington is another possibility. From Wellington, Golden Bay Air has scheduled flights to Takaka. Takaka aerodrome is located 1.5 hours from Westhaven Retreat, where we provided pick up and drop off by arrangement. |

DRIVE HERE On a still day with the tide in, there can be few vistas as beautiful as the 40km out from Collingwood. The section of road which weaves around the indented coastline of Whanganui Inlet and its 14 causeways is spectacular. Pickups from Collingwood, Takaka, Nelson or other locations can be arranged. |
